Pilates is a movement system that uses spring-driven machines, as well as a series of floor exercises, to increase strength, flexibility, stamina, and concentration.

Joseph H. Pilates, 1880-1967, noted German inventor of the Pilates method, originally called it “Contrology.” Joe was inspired by dance, strength training, yoga, martial arts, gymnastics, but also animal movement patterns.

Authentic Pilates is a physical and mental training program that considers the body and mind as a unit, exploring the potential for changes in the human body, seeking physical harmony and the correction of imbalances and weaknesses, recommended for all types of people, regardless of age or profession.
